All My Sons: Costume Renderings 2011

"All My Sons" is a moving piece set in the post-war 1940s. One man harbors a dark secret that has destroyed his best friend and his family. The characters, each dealing with their own internal battles, strive to carve out an existence for themselves in the now-uncertain world.
Renderings are a combination of watercolor, pen, pencil, and colored pencil.

Kate, the mother, wishes to have the perfect American dream family. She clings to the idea that her missing son did not die in the war; that he will be found any day.

Ann is the shining girl in everyone's life. After her fiancee was lost in the war she fell in love with the remaining brother in the family. While she cares for him, her actions allude to a deeper and darker reason for her uniting their families.

Frank is the man who is always around, though rarely wanted to be around.

George bursts into the story with a shocking revelation for his sister Ann about the way her fiancee's father had lied and put their father, his best friend, in prison. He is a successful lawyer who has just come from visiting their father in jail.

Mr. and Mrs. Bayliss are a couple together out of custom. He wants to study medicines and be intellectually and creatively stimulated, while the Mrs. is mostly concerned with him being a provider. She worries constantly what others think of them.
