The Vagina Monologues: Costume Designs 2010

For this production of "The Vagina Monologues," the director wanted the performers to be clothed from their own wardrobe. I met with each woman and was able to obtain a general earth-tone pallet for the stage. On top of these earth tones, each woman also wore a shock of red in different places. The theme was "strong women throughout time," and so the red fabric was made into a flower for the hair, a scarf, a sash, an armband, and an ascot, among others.
