Hello Dolly!: Costume Renderings 2010. Each of the main
four actresses had 3 costumes constructed for them. I drew my
inspiration from many many different places, including late 1890s
fashion plates and the actresses themselves. I think the right
combination of actor portrayal and costume is what really makes the
character come alive. This was my first big show that set me down the
path to become a costume designer.
PS, because of the production situation with the play, I ended up creating all 12 main dresses by myself in my living room at the time!
